How to Download Instagram Photos and Videos How to use Instagram videos photos downloader, how to download Instagram photos, how to download Instagram videos to your computer, how to download Instagram photos on your computer, how to download Instagram videos from iPhone, how to download Instagram videos from Android device ... This article tells you several ways to download Instagram photos and videos. Note that these methods only work if you have the desktop version of the official Instagram app downloaded on your computer (they won’t work with third-party applications). So if you haven’t done so yet, grab the right one now (free) and follow these steps... When it's safe to capture a photo or video The best time to capture a photo or video is when there is no one in your shot. If you have people in your shot, ask for their permission before snapping away. When using Stories on Facebook, it's a good idea to tag friends that are in it unless they are private accounts. Just make sure they are okay with you tagging them before doing so. It's also smart to avoid capturing photos of strangers, even if they're not recognizable as such. It's always better to be safe than sorry! If you want to download videos from an iPhone: Open up Instagram and open up a post or story. Then tap on 3 dots located at the top right corner of your screen, then tap Copy Link. Go to Viddownloader (or any other third-party app) paste copied link into the box then click the download button and wait until your video downloads onto your device. You can now save it wherever you like. To download photos from an Android phone: Open up Instagram and go to the profile page of the user whose photo or video you want to download. Tap the three vertical dots icon located at the top right corner of your screen, then tap the copy link option. Paste copied link into the box in Viddownloader (or any other third-party app), hit the start downloading button, and wait until your picture/video is downloaded onto your device. You can now save it wherever you like. This method works for both posts and stories. For reels, swipe left twice to access the reel and tap on the three vertical dots icon located at the top right corner of your screen, then tap on the Copy Link option. For stories, scroll through content by swiping left or right until you find a specific Story and tap on the three vertical dots icon located at the top right corner of your screen, then tap on the Copy Link option. Then paste copied link into the box in Viddownloader (or any other third-party app), hit the start downloading button, and wait until your picture/video is downloaded onto your device. You can now save it wherever you like. In addition to saving pictures and videos to your camera roll, there are some things that users may want to consider doing with their newly acquired media files including creating gifs, editing pictures, or posting online anonymously. Directly from the app (Android only) Though there are a few third-party apps that can download Instagram videos, there’s no need for any of them. First, you’ll want to head over to your profile. Tap on ... in the top right corner. This will bring up a menu. Select Settings from here. Select Account from here. Select Media from here. You should now see an option called Save Original Photo/Video at the bottom of your screen (you may have to scroll down). Select it and you’re done! Your photos and videos will now be saved directly onto your phone—no third-party app required! Once they’re downloaded, you can either move them to another folder or leave them where they are; just remember where they are so you don’t accidentally delete them. If your photos or videos aren’t downloading correctly: Try closing out of Instagram and reopening it (this has fixed many issues I had with my account), or try logging out of your account before trying again. You can also try turning off your Wi-Fi connection if you’re having trouble saving photos or videos. Just make sure to turn it back on when you’re finished! If none of these work, then unfortunately there isn’t much else you can do. Unfortunately, Instagram doesn’t offer a way to save photos or videos directly from its app without using third-party software. The only workaround is to take screenshots of your favorite posts and use a screenshotting app like Screenshot Ultimate (iOS) or Screenshot & Edit (Android) to crop out everything but your photo/video. For example, I use both of these apps because they let me crop out everything but my video while still keeping all of its original dimensions intact. There are plenty of other ways to capture Instagram content as well, including taking a picture of your screen with something like AirDroid or Pushbullet. If you’d rather not use third-party apps, then your best bet is to log into your account through a web browser on your computer instead. This won’t give you access to all of Instagram’s features, but it will allow you to download photos and videos quickly and easily. From your hard drive Connect your computer directly to your mobile device through a USB cord. If you are trying to save photos or videos from an Android device, connect your phone directly to your computer using a USB cord. Plug one end of the cord into your phone’s charging port and plug the other end into an open USB port on your computer. This will allow you to transfer files between your phone and computer. The process for downloading Instagram photos is similar whether you are using Windows or macOS; however, there are slight differences in how each operating system stores files on its hard drive. On Windows systems, Instagram media is stored in a Videos folder within your Pictures folder. On macOS systems, they are saved in a Movies folder within your Pictures folder. You can access these folders by clicking Start, then My Computer. Double-click on your C: drive (or whatever letter represents your main hard drive), then double-click on your Pictures folder. You should see two folders: Videos and Movies. Open either of these folders to find all of your Instagram media that has been downloaded onto your computer so far. To download individual images or videos, simply right-click on them and select Save as... Then select where you would like to save them. To download multiple items at once, hold down Ctrl (Windows) or Command (macOS) while selecting each item individually. Once you have selected everything you want to download, click Save as... You can also use third-party apps like Sharepod and iExplorer for more advanced methods of transferring files between devices. For example, with Sharepod you can send entire albums at once rather than having to select each photo or video individually. Additionally, with iExplorer, you can browse your iPhone's file structure and copy files back and forth between your iPhone and computer much more easily than if you were doing it manually. Both apps offer free trials before requiring payment for full functionality. Another option is to use the iCloud Photo Library. With iCloud Photo Library enabled, all of your photos and videos automatically upload to Apple’s servers and become available on any iOS device logged into your iCloud account. From here, you can download specific content just as you would with any other method described above. Unfortunately, iCloud Photo Library does not support direct downloads from desktop computers at present time. To get around this limitation, you need to enable iCloud Drive on your computer. Doing so allows you to view and download all of your iCloud content from a computer browser window instead of only being able to view it from an iOS device. To enable iCloud Drive on Windows 10, go to Settings > System > Storage > Change where new content is saved > iCloud Drive. Generate Reel There are several ways to download Instagram photos, but what if you want a reel of your photos and videos on your computer? The best way we’ve found is by using an app called MyStogram. It costs $3.99 per month, but you can use it forever—you just have to remember that to download anything new, you have to buy another month. You can also pay for one-time downloads. Here’s how The first thing you need to do is download MyStogram from either iTunes or Google Play. Then open up Instagram and find a photo or video you want to save; touch and hold until it starts shaking; then tap Save Photo/Video at the bottom of your screen. This will send it to MyStogram. From there, click Library and choose which photos or videos you want to keep (or delete). Once you’re done selecting your content, click Download Reel at the top of your screen. This will prompt you to log in to Dropbox with your account information. If you don’t already have a Dropbox account, sign up for free here (it only takes about two minutes). Once logged in, click Upload Reel Now! Your reel will start downloading as a ZIP file to your Dropbox folder. To unzip it, double-click it from within your Dropbox folder. Your images should be inside a folder labeled MyStogram; select all of them and drag them onto your desktop. That’s how easy it is to download 8Instagram photos and videos directly onto your computer! Keep in mind that reels won’t always include full-resolution copies of every image. Sometimes they might even miss some clips, so check back regularly to make sure you haven’t missed any great posts. Also, if you delete a post after saving it to your reel, you won’t be able to get it back unless someone else has saved it too. So before deleting anything from Instagram, make sure you want to lose those memories. And finally: You can only download reels made by people who follow you on Instagram. Share your reel on IGTV A reel on IGTV is a video that lasts between 15 seconds and 10 minutes long. To share your reel, follow these steps Open up IGTV. Tap Create in the top right corner of your screen. Select Reel from one of three options: Camera Roll, Gallery, or Video Library. Choose a title for your reel. You can choose any name you want, but try to make it relevant so people can find it later! Choose who you want to share with by tapping either Public or Private at the bottom of your screen. If you select Public, anyone will be able to see your content when they search for it on IGTV. If you select Private, only people who have been invited will be able to see your content when they search for it on IGTV. Tap Next. Choose which videos you’d like to add to your reel. By default, all of your videos are selected, but if you don’t want to include certain ones just tap them again so they turn gray and are deselected. Once you’ve chosen which videos you’d like to add, tap Next again. Add a description to your reel by typing it into the text box. This description should describe what viewers will see when they watch your reel. When you’re done, tap Next again. Add tags to your reel so people can easily find them later by typing into each text box and then tapping Done at the bottom of each tag section. When you’re done adding tags, tap Next once more. Your reels are now published! Go back to your profile page and check out your new reel. Make sure you give it a view so others can enjoy it too! ) Don’t forget to post it on social media so everyone knows about your new IGTV content! Want to learn how to create an account?
